2017 in Review

Hello everyone,

I hope everyone is having an amazing New Years Eve. Can you believe that this is my 3rd yearly review post?! 2017 has been good to me and I hope this year wasn’t too bad for you all.

To start this post off, I’m revisiting my 2016 in review post. My goal I set for this year was to:

Not procrastinate and get my homework done. And to try stay organised

Personal Overview

Let’s just say that I did pretty well on this goal. I’ve always had my homework done on time and have been organised 50% of the time. Like anyone else, I have been slacking in the summer a little because I was super busy and the same in the December holidays. As this was constantly on my mind, I think this is a skill I’ll be able to carry on using next year.

I’m not gonna lie but, this year has felt like 3 years in one and at the same time, it’s flown by! The first 5 months was a time I made great memories with my friends and learnt a lot from them. During this time, there were a lot of ups and downs. It was also the time my grandma passed away.

Then there were the summer holidays. I did so much! I went to Folkestone, flip out, paintballing, had bbq’s, Canterbury, Dockyard, done a lot of shopping and went to a few weddings. It was such a busy month! I was also not blogging as much until the end of the summer holidays.

Then there was the start of year 11 in September. On the first week, I didn’t feel any pressure because it was just normal lessons. However, when mocks started, I started to feel stressed and I was not happy with my grades. As the weeks went by, I realised how much I need to catch up on things I don’t know and need to revise. I’ve started the revision for my last mocks in January.

Blog Overview

This has also been a great year for my blog! I want to say a huge THANK YOU to my top commenters of 2017! I am always replying to comments and it’s so lovely to see a few people always coming back to read my posts.

Last year was a big year for my blog because I got in total 13.7k views. This year I never ever thought I’d beat it but we somehow managed to get 4k more views than

last year. I want to thank everyone who has read my posts, given it a like and commented because I didn’t think anyone would read it!!

This was also the year I changed the name f my blog from The Average Gurl to Life As Najida. This was because I was unhappy with the name so, I would like to thank Alanna for choosing this name!
