How to: Revise 2017

Hello everyone,

I can’t believe that it’s Thursday already and we are so close to the end of this weekly upload! Anyway, mocks are just around the corner so I thought that it would be a good idea to share with you my top ways to revise!

Revision Guides

Go and read through each page and see whether you understand the content. If not, then write notes from it, search it up on youtube and answer the questions in the book (they usually have one). You could also find past exam questions for that specific topic.

Flashcards

Calling all visual learners out there! Flashcards are the best because you are questioning yourself and constantly going through them. Personally, this helps me remember things better so I recommend this the most!

Circle/Bubble Maps

I know the picture above isn’t a spider diagram or circle map (mine are all in my school books, hence why I couldn’t take a picture of them) but they are so helpful. Everything you want to know is condensed into one A4 or A3 paper and when you’re looking back to it, it helps with retrieving information fast.

At the end of the day, none of these tips matter unless you put your effort in and using your time effectively. So I hope you all enjoyed this post. I know most of my readers are teens (just like me) so, I just had to have this post part of this holidays upload. Good luck to those who have mocks next term!

  1. Loving this post- I’m in year 11 at the moment so the tips are helpful! What subjects are you taking? I agree with you- I absolutely love flash cards but I find that I tend to spend more time making them than actually using them- oops… Also, I’m studying AIC as well, how are you finding it? xx

      1. Those sound so good- I wish we were allowed to take graphics but unfortunately they took it of the subject list at our school. I’m sort of enjoying it thanks- but I’ve found that the workload is so much more than in year 10! xx

            1. I’m not amazing at sciences by any means but I do enjoy them- however I don’t think I want to go into a career with them! I will probably take one for a level though. I just like them because they’re easy to revise for not gonna lie!

  2. These are ace tips Najida – I’m in Y11 so can relate to the exam stress, I’ve been battling through all my homework this half term and when I’m back at school, I’m going to need to start revising. A lot😭
